Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked Coming to PS4 This Spring

Thanks to a recent partnership with Super Time Force’s Capybara Games, the newest expansion for  adventure survival game Don’t Starve – Shipwrecked – sailed out of early access last month. According to a recent update on Don’t Starve developer Klei Entertainment‘s Twitter page, Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked will be making its way to PS4 owners this spring.

The expansion takes Don’t Starve’s hand-drawn characters and leaves them to fight for their life on a deserted tropical island. Composing a built-from-scratch world and a fresh laundry list of ways to die, Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked proffers new crafting modes, abilities and plenty of nooks to explore – throwing players (quite literally) into the deep end.

Shipwrecked’s main addition to Don’t Starve’s ominous world is the new sailing ability. Whilst before players were restricted by the seafront, the add-on allows you to hop in a sailboat and explore uncharted realms. Voyages may lead to dense jungles or distant beaches concealing useful booty to aid your survival – but there’s always the possibility of running into some formidable sea-dwellers who are less-than-content about your dingy-ridden exploits.

Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked is scheduled to release for the Playstation 4 this spring. For more information, you can check out Capybara’s full Playstation blog post here. Alternatively, the DLC’s Steam page can be found here.
