Early Reviews for Civil War Are In…

Not only are Marvel charged with following up what some considered a lacklustre Avengers: Age of Ultron with a more dynamic and story-furthering Captain America: Civil War, but they are also being tasked with removing the bad taste left in the mouths of comic book fans the world over following the less-than-favourable reviews of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

So, with three weeks to go until Civil War hits UK cinemas, the film has been shown to crowds in 25 cities in North America and Canada (no, we in the UK were not invited to take part), and with the movie’s social media embargo kindly lifted by Disney, viewers have taken to their Twitters and the like to give their initial opinions. And they are very good.

Rather inevitably called ‘Marvel’s best movie yet’, although admittedly with more conviction and verve than previous instances, and said to contain one of the best action sequences committed to film. Furthermore, MCU debutant Tom Holland comes in for particular praise for his portrayal of Spider-Man.

But don’t take my words for it, check out some of the tweets;

Captain America: Civil War is released in the UK on April 29, with the US release coming on May 6.
