Marin of Link’s Awakening to Join Hyrule Warriors as DLC

Marin, one of the main characters from 1993’s Game Boy game Link’s Awakening was announced by Nintendo to be coming to Hyrule Warriors as part of the company’s plans for DLC. The announcement was made yesterday at Wondercon in Los Angeles (via. Polygon).

Hyrule Warriors Legends, the 3DS port of the 2014 Wii U brawler saw its release on Friday and offers a Season Pass for its premium DLC. Marin will be available in the second pack of downloadable content, launching this summer. The Season Pass also unlocks the characters for the original Wii U version.

Characters already available in the 3DS hack-n-slash include Skull Kid, the mask-donning trickster of Majora’s Mask. You can see Skull Kid’s antics here.

Also available in Hyrule Warriors Legends is Linkle, a female version of Link. You can see Linkle in action below.
