Dawn of Justice Deleted Scene Released

Warner Bros. have released a deleted scene from the theatrical version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The 44-second clip shows a SWAT team entering the Kryptonian ship in search of Lex Luthor, who they find in front of who many are speculating is Yuga Khan, the father of none other than Darkseid. He of course is the DC Comics big bad that is rumoured to be introduced as the main villain to the newly-formed Justice League.

Khan (or whoever it ends up being) appears to be holding – or presenting – three boxes to Luthor. These would appear to be Mother Boxes, devices created on the planet Apokolips and allow, among other things, portals to be opened between dimensions. That seems like a pretty handy way for Darkseid to make his way to Earth.

For those that have seen the film, the final scene sees Luthor explains to Batman that a “bell has been rung” and that a new force was coming. Initially the question was how Lex would know this, however now it seems that during his little chat with this other-worldly demon he learnt of Darkseid’s impending arrival.

The scene will be be included in the R-rated extended cut of the movie, available on Blu-ray in July.
