Star Wars Battlefront DLC Details Revealed

Star Wars Battlefront’s first batch of DLC has been confirmed to feature Greedo and Nein Nunb as playable characters, along with a host of new locations for players to engage in deadly battle.

Named Outer Rim, the paid DLC will include a smelting factory on the planet Sullust, as well as Jabba the Hutt’s throne room and sail barge garage. The game will also be furnished with an all-new mode called Extraction, which is described on the game’s official website as follows:

“Rebel forces have entered some of the most dangerous places in the Outer Rim in order to extract a valuable shipment of resources. Now they must bring the shipment to their transport ship before time runs out. The Empire has arrived to stop them from reaching the extraction point.”

Players of the DLC will be able to wield new weapons such as the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol, in addition to new cards: the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards.

Outer Rim will release this month. New content revolving around Bespin and The Death Star will launch later this year, according to game producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir. The expansions will be included as part of Battlefront’s $50 Season Pass.
