CBS have announced that The Flash is to appear in an episode of Supergirl.
Seemingly not content with appearing in his own show, Arrow and likely future episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Grant Gustin is to add to his already-packed schedule and show up in National City. Said showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg;
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl —The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up! We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros., and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”
The crossover has been rumoured since Supergirl started, though many doubted it would happen due to the two shows airing on different networks in the US, though both share the same parent company and are made by Berlanti Productions.
The crossover episode will air on March 28.
