Rocket League gets Physical Release

Psyonix vice president Jeremy Dunham issued an unexpected statement during a recent episode of Kinda Funny Games’ Colin and Greg live, announcing that the turbocharged soccer title Rocket League will be hitting stores soon with its own physical release (via. Trusted Reviews).

“We’re going to be announcing very soon that Rocket League’s coming to retail,” Dunham declared during the episode “We’re going to be talking about who our partner is, when [you] can expect to see it, and what comes in that package.”

The game’s Facebook page announced that Psyonix has something “special” planned for the retail release, which could include exclusive content or additional trinkets.

Rocket League was initially released in June 2015 for PC and PS4. The title received an Xbox One release earlier this month, earning a score of ‘Great’ in The Palace of Wisdom’s review.

A version for Mac and Linux is still in development, and has not yet received a release date from Psyonix.
