It was only a matter of time.
YouTube series Man At Arms: Reforged is known for recreating some of gaming’s most fearsome weapons. But if you thought Kratos’ Blades of Chaos impressive, their latest episode could well give you chills, having turned their attention to Bloodborne’s transforming saw cleaver.
The cleaver’s blade was fashioned from a piece of railroad track, whilst its handle constituted black iron piping. The trademark weapon was even complete with a pivot point, permitting the cleaver to alternate between its two forms – and it didn’t just look terrifying.
After they’d finished forging the signature Bloodborne cleaver, The Man At Arms crew tried it out on plastic bottles, a can of shaving foam and a fake zombie head, with devastatingly Bloodbornian consequences.
Man At Arms is well known for its real-life renditions of famous video game, film and anime props. Their past creations include Geralt’s swords from The Witcher 3, Link’s Hylian Shield from Ocarina of Time and the Captain America throwing shields.
