Sting has been officially announced as the first entrant into the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame.
The former WCW champion made his WWE debut at the 2014 Survivor Series, and has made two in-ring appearances since, losing both times to Triple H at WrestleMania 31 and Seth Rollins at Night at Champions. Sting suffered a neck injury during the match with Rollins.
Said Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul ‘Trple H’ Levesque of the induction;
“We are truly honored to have Sting take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame. His contributions to our industry are unprecedented, and we look forward to celebrating his incredible career with fans all over the world.”
Sting also tweeted about his acceptance;

The Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on April 2.
