LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy On the Way?

It would appear that we may have an idea what particular franchise LEGO are targeting for their next game.

A post-credits scene from the new LEGO Marvel’s Avengers game features the Mad Titan himself, Thanos, finding Star Lord’s cassette player and headphones.

The cast of Guardians characters are conspicuous by their absence in the game, which focuses on scenes from the previous Marvel movies. The exclusion of the characters could be an indication that TT Games plan to focus on them more fully in a future title.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due out in April 2017, so if such a game were forthcoming, it would make sense to release it around that time for tie-in purposes.

Previous LEGO titles have also contained hints to future games, with a T-Rex appearance in the LEGO Batman 3 credits leading up to LEGO Jurassic World, while an Indiana Jones easter egg in LEGO Star Wars resulted in a game his own.
