First Official Images From Assassin’s Creed Movie Released

The first official images from the movie adaptation of Assassin’s Creed have been released by Ubisoft.

The company took to their Ubiblog to share the stills, which feature star Michael Fassbender in both modern day and Assassin persona.

The film will not be based on any stories from the previous games, but will be based in the same world. Lynch is a descendant of the secret society of Assassins and via genetic memories can relive the adventures of his ancestor Aguila in Spain in the 15th Century. Through this he gains knowledge that enables him to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.

Co-starring Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed, Assassin’s Creed is due for release on December 21, 2016.
