It appears that Stephen Amell’s work with WWE is not over.
The Arrow star wrestled at SummerSlam last August, teaming with Neville to beat Stardust and King Barrett, and hasn’t been on WWE TV since. However he has continued a war of words with Stardust on Twitter. The angle was brought back up on TV recently when Amell won a Slammy Award for his performance in his match, an award that Stardust stole in the actor’s absence.
Amell took to Twitter to demand the return of the award, with WWE teasing a confrontation between the two at this weekend’s Heroes & Villains convention in New Jersey. And now PWInsider have confirmed with sources that WWE are planning on shooting footage of the two at the event this Saturday, suggesting that they are building to an eventual singles match between the two. Given that we are close to the traditional start of the Road to WrestleMania, this could be our first indication of this year’s ‘Mania celebrity involvement.
Amell has campaigned online for a long time to be involved in WWE storylines, and now it appears he is going to get a chance to add to SummerSlam appearance.
