Spectre Does Big Business in Opening Week

Spectre is well on course to be the most successful of the series.

Since its release on 26 October, 007’s latest outing has already taken over £80 million worldwide, with half of that coming from the UK alone. Denmark, Norway, Holland and Sweden have also seen big business, with Bond records previously held by Skyfall being beaten.

In IMAX format, Spectre has beat Transformers: Dark of the Moon to become the first film to top $100,00-per-location.

The movie releases in America later this week, with early indications being that it will do major numbers. If it’s early success continues, it should overtake Skyfall’s $1.1 billion to become the most-successful Bond film ever.

Spectre stars Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris, Andrew Scott and Dave Bautista.
