Sky1 have announced that they will air DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Joining Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, the latest entry to the DC TV dossier will debut in 2016. It has yet to be confirmed how long the delay will be between US and UK airing.
Speaking on the acquisition, Sky1’s director Adam MacDonald said;
“Hot on the heels of the amazing success of Supergirl, I’m really pleased to announce that another exciting comic book drama is coming to the channel.
“From the team behind our three best-loved superhero shows and with a great high-profile cast, there’s real pedigree behind DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And it’s set in the same world as The Flash and Arrow, too, so it couldn’t be more suited to Sky 1. Our customers are going to love it. “
Legends of Tomorrow features Arrow’s Atom and White Canary alongside The Flash’s Firestorm, Hawkgirl, Heatwave and Captain Cold. Hawkman will also feature, though he has yet to appear in Flash or Arrow. Heading up the team is time-travelling Rip Hunter to take on the excellently-named Vandal Savage.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow debuts in the US on January 21. A new trailer for the series was recently released.
