Carrie-Anne Moss, most famous for playing Trinity in the Matrix trilogy, has been cast for Netflix’s next big exclusive, Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
During Netflix’s panel at this year’s New York Comic-Con, it was revealed that the actress would be portraying a female version of Jeryn Hogarph, a character that fans of the comics will know to be male.
In the comics, Hogarth has ties to both Luke Cage and Danny Rand (Iron Fist) as he becomes the attorney and manager for their business Heroes for Hire.
The characters inclusion also further hints at how Netflix and Marvel plan to connect Jessica Jones to the larger Marvel universe, as Luke Cage and Iron Fist are due to get their own series’ next year.
Along with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage will all eventually team up for a crossover series, Marvel’s The Defenders.
Much like Daredevil’s release, the entire first season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones is due to hit Netflix in one go on November 20.
