Fans will agree that The Flash season one had a number of highlights, with one of the big wow moments being in the 17th episode, “Tricksters”, when none other than Mark Hamill showed up as The Trickster.
The Trickster is a regular in the Flash mythology and was also played by Hamill back in 1990 on John Wesley Shipp’s (Henry Allen) The Flash TV show on CBS, so seeing him reprise the role for the CW’s show was a massive hit for long time fans of the speedster.
The season one episode left the door open for the character to return in the future and according to Comic Book Resources that is exactly what is going to happen at some point in season two.
On Saturday, after set photos surfaced of Hamill presumably back on set in his Trickster guise, rumors began to circulate that he would be returning for another special guest spot. Both The CW and Warner Bros. have now confirmed that the actor will definitely be returning.
The UK premiere of season two of The Flash is due to broadcast October 13 on Sky One. The show is currently in its second week on The CW in the US.
