Update on Sting Following Night of Champions

Sting has undergone medical tests following last night’s Night of Champions.

The former WCW champion, wrestling only his third match for the company, collapsed while running the ropes in his match against Seth Rollins. The bout was stopped while the ringside doctor and referee checked on his condition, before the match restarted, with Rollins winning via a roll-up a short time later.

PWInsider are reporting that the injury and collapse were legitimate and the speculation amongst the wrestlers is that Sting suffered either a neck or spinal injury. He and WWE are still awaiting an official diagnosis.

The website also reports that Sting was originally scheduled for tonight’s Raw, however that may now change.
