Toy designers Jakks Pacific have announced that they’ve signed a deal with the LEGO Group to develop a range of Halloween costumes based on popular LEGO Minifigures.
The firm’s costume division, Disguise Inc, will distribute the new line of dress-up, role-play and accessories across North America, Europe, Korea and China.
“The LEGO brand is full of aspirational characters that kids love and want to be,” said Joe Anton, president of Disguise.
“We are very excited to be partnering with the LEGO Group to design and create innovative costumes and accessories based on their inspirational and iconic characters.”
Andrea Ryder, senior director, licensing, The LEGO Group, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Disguise to produce official LEGO costumes.
“This is a great opportunity for us to enable children to truly become their favourite LEGO character and engage in their favourite LEGO play experience in a new way.”
The first LEGO based costumes are due to hit stores in autumn of 2016.
