Ghostbusters Director Hits Back at Critics

Twitter can be a positive tool. It can be used to interact with a loyal fan base or friends, it can be useful to send a message, or, if you are Paul Feig and have spent months having your latest movie criticised by seemingly all corners of the planet, you can use it to fire back with some considerable venom.

The negative response to next year’s Ghostbusters reboot is well-known, from the first reveal of the new uniforms and the Ecto-1, and through it all Feig has remained silent and not risen to the criticism.

In a series of defensive tweets, the director responded to some of the criticisms levelled at the movie. We should warn you, not all of them are safe for work/young eyes;

While he was at it, he also commented on the cameos that he has lined up for the film, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson’s, revealing that they were meant to be surprises and only announced because of the leaks.

Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth, and will release on 22 July 2016.
