Ronda Rousey Eyeing Captain Marvel Role?

Clearly not content with dominating the female division of the UFC, it appears that Ronda Rousey wants to take over the acting world as well.

After already scoring roles in The Expendables and Furious 7, the UFC Bantamweight champion has apparently set her sights on an upcoming Marvel movie.

During a recent AMA on Reddit, Rousey was asked if she was interested in playing a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while she admitted that a lot of the roles were already taken, she did admit to having her eye on one part;

“Well, a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Ms. Marvel.”

That would be, of course, from Captain Marvel, Marvel’s movie focusing on Carol Danvers and her transformation from Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel.

The studio have yet to comment on any casting for the film, which will be written by Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman, and set for release on 6 July 2018.
