The Hobbit Returning to US Cinemas

After taking more than $3 billion dollars, The Hobbit isn’t done on the big-screen just yet – in America, at least.

Peter Jackson’s latest journey to Middle Earth concluded with The Battle of the Five Armies in December, however extended versions of the trilogy will be heading to cinemas in October.

Presented by Fathom Pictures and Warner Bros. over three nights, An Unexpected Journey, The Desolation of Smaug and Five Armies will be shown in selected cinemas.

The extended trilogy screenings will begin with An Unexpected Journey on October 5 at 19:30 local time. It has not yet been confirmed if the three films will screen over consecutive nights or spaced apart.

You can check out AMC Cinemas for more information on what theatres are participating.
