Ant-Man has taken over $300 million worldwide.
After only three weeks on general release, the final film of Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now taken $141.6 million in North America, which combined with an overseas total of $159,500,000 results in a final total of $301,367,000.
Encouragingly for Marvel, that figure is before the film sees release in countries such as China, Japan, Italy and Austria.
Ant-Man’s takings puts it above that taken by The Incredible Hulk and, depending on success in countries yet to be released in, could yet overtake Captain America: The First Avenger.
|Avengers: Age of Ultron||$1,398,500,000|
|Iron Man 3||$1,215,439,994|
|Guardians of the Galaxy||$774,176,600|
|Captain America: The Winter Soldier||$714,766,572|
|Thor: The Dark World||$644,783,140|
|Iron Man 2||$623,933,331|
|Captain America: The First Avenger||$370,569,774|
|The Incredible Hulk||$263,427,551|
