X-Men/Fantastic Four Crossover “Ideas Are in Play”

Bryan Singer has revealed that a crossover with characters from X-Men and the Fantastic Four is possible.

Speaking to Yahoo Movies, the director – who is currently working on X-Men: Apocalypse – revealed that there have been early talks with the team behind the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot concerning a coming together.

“Those ideas are in play. That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it.”

And while he wouldn’t give away any more than that, he did offer up one more tease regarding what such a crossover could entail, while also admitting that any future plans would depend on the success and reception of both Fantastic Four and his latest X-Men outing.

“It deals with time. That’s all I’m going to say….“We’ll have to see how the films turn out. To just say you’re going to do it would be a mistake, you have to see how the films evolve before you make that decision to completely commit to that.”

Fantastic Four will be released on August 6 in the US and August 7 in the UK, while X-Men: Apocalypse is due to land on 27 May 2016.
