San Diego Comic-Con 2015: Deadpool Unveils First Trailer

“It’s the most faithful adaptation of a comic book to a movie I’ve ever seen. I’ve only ever done one other proper, actually not proper, superhero movie.”

“I think it’s an absolute miracle that a studio let us make Deadpool let alone a Rated-R Deadpool.”

It finally happened.

After over a decade of trying to get studios to actually green-light a big-screen version of Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds stood in Hall H at Comic-Con and delivered what the world was waiting for. We got action, blood, a sex scene and several words uttered that don’t tend to crop up in today’s superhero movies.

Deadpool is here.

Alas, however, the trailer is not. Not yet, anyway. Initially released only for those lucky enough to be in attendance in San Diego, although it is being reported that the footage will be released online this week. And when that happens, you are going to love it.

Deadpool will be released on 12 February 2016.
