Michael Cera Cast in LEGO Batman Movie

Holy Arrested Development, Batman!

The LEGO Batman movie, the spin-off to 2014’s highly successful The LEGO Movie, has found it’s Robin.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, joining Will Arnett’s Batman and completing the dynamic duo will be Michael Cera.

For DC comics fans out there, it has also been confirmed that the Robin in the movie will be Dick Grayson.

Despite not being the star of the original movie, Arnett’s Batman became one of the highlights, with many fans calling his LEGO Dark Knight one of the best versions on-screen as a petty, self-absorbed fool with an obsession for black. It’s that popularity that has led to the character getting his own spin-off movie which will be set in the same universe as Emmet’s adventure.

Arnett and Cera have, of course, worked together on and off for a number of years on the popular Arrested Development, which has seen a revival recently thanks to streaming service Netflix.

The LEGO Batman Movie is set for release in February 2017.
