Apple have confirmed that Apple Pay will finally launch in the UK next month.
The service is already in operation in the US and now it is due to arrive on these shores shortly. Eight of Britain’s leading banks have announced that they will support the platform at launch, as well as more than 250,000 merchants already signed up also, including Boots, Nando’s and Marks & Spencers.
Additionally, Transport for London will support the payment method, enabling commuters to make touchless payments on the Tube, train and buses.
Additional US merchants have also been added to the ever-growing list of partners. The tech giant plans to have Pay available in more than a million US locations by next month.
