First Supergirl Trailer Flies In

CBS have unveiled the first look at Supergirl.

Starring Melissa Benoist, the comic book series will see Kryptonian refugee Kara Zor-El – the cousin of Superman – finally embracing her powers after years hiding on Earth.

The series is the latest work of Arrow and The Flash producer Greg Berlanti and it has previously been hinted at that the shows could cross over at some point in the future.

This new video was shown at the CBS Upfront event, designed to appeal to advertisers to purchase commercial time, so this does show off a large amount of story from the pilot episode and later episodes.

Supergirl also stars Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan and David Harewood, and will air on Mondays, starting later this year.

  1. I think I will like this but I can see a lot of people having it. It’s trying to target the female market by being like ugly betty or sex in the city but I think that will mean a lot of comic book fans won’t like it as it’s not what they’re used to with the likes of arrow and flash. – via TPoW: The App
