Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that a new Indiana Jones film is “being talked about”.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the LucasFilm president clarified that a script has not yet been written, but a new film is definitely in the works;
“[An Indiana Jones film] will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”
Of course, there is a long way to go before we can look forward to sitting in a cinema watching Indy again, but the fact that this is being discussed at Disney is a positive step. Speculation has been ongoing that Chris Pratt is being lined up to take the mantle made famous by Harrison Ford, with rumours claiming that Steven Spielberg would return to direct and wanted Pratt in the lead role.
We shall see…
