Ubisoft have unveiled the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Set in London during the Industrial Revolution in 1868, the game will see two main characters, named Jacob and Evie Frye, taking on the Templars who are terrorising the city. Gameplay will include being able to take control of an entire underworld gang, as well as being able to zipline from rooftop to rooftop and using horse-drawn carriages and high-speed trains for free-running. Weapons this time out include knuckledusters, a kukri knife and hallucinogenic darts.
Marc-Alexis Côté, the Creative Director at Ubisoft, highlighted what he believes sets the game apart;
“The ability to lead an underground gang, commandeer any vehicle on hand and use modern tools to take on an expansive and fast-paced Victorian London sets this game apart. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been in development for more than two years and this new modern take on the living open world will please Assassin’s Creed fans and newcomers alike.”
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 23 October, with a PC release coming in the Autumn.
