Marvel have reportedly locked in a deal with Anthony and Joe Russo to direct The Avengers: Infinity Wars parts 1 & 2.
Badass Digest are reporting that The Russos – who have built up a ton of goodwill at Marvel for their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier – have agreed a deal to take on the Marvel double-header. They are due to start work on Cap follow-up Civil War shortly.
The agreement comes as no major surprise, as they were tipped for the position following Joss Whedon’s admittance that he was unlikely to return for a third (and in this case, fourth) Avengers outing.
Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who worked on both Captain America films, are in talks to write Avengers 3.
Part one of Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on 4 May 2018, with the second part due to land on 3 May 2019.
