Brock Lesnar has announced that he has turned his back on a return to UFC and re-signed with WWE.
Appearing on ESPN’s SportCentre, the current WWE World Heavyweight champion ended weeks of speculation by confirming that he is “closing the door on MMA” and staying with WWE.
Lesnar’s contract was due to expire shortly, with the Raw after WrestleMania his last scheduled date. This announcement will now add a new layer of intrigue to his championship match with Roman Reigns this Sunday.
Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 and captured the championship at last year’s SummerSlam. He famously ended The Undertaker’s Streak at WrestleMania 30 last year.
