Joel Kinnaman Set to Replace Hardy in Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad movie may have found it’s new Rick Flagg with The Wrap reporting that Joel Kinnaman, last years Robocop, is currently in negotiations to take on the role.

Last month it was reported that Tom Hardy had pulled out of the role due to scheduling issues and so in order to maintain the production schedule Warner have made every effort to replace him quickly.

Rick Flagg is the leader of the titular group of rogues and so it’s likely that any actor signing on for the role will have a key part to play in the movie.

If the deal does go ahead, Kinnaman will join a star cast which includes Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney.

Directed by David Ayer and co-starring Viola Davis and Cara Delavingne, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and the US on 5 August 2016.
