Well it must be spy season, the recent release of trailers for Hitman: Agent 47 and The Man from U.N.C.L.E would certainly suggest so.
Now the team behind the latest James Bond adventure, SPECTRE, have released the first footage from the set giving us a behind the scenes look at Daniel Craig in action in the Austrian mountains.
The footage shows the filming of a car chase across snowfields that associate producer Gregg Wilson explains will be an important piece of filming;
“We have to deliver an amazing sequence and this is going to be one of the major action sequences of the movie.”
Also featured in the clip are Léa Seydoux, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista, and director Sam Mendes.
Back in early December it was announced at an exclusive event that the movie would be shooting in locations worldwide. In addition to Austria we can expect scenes in London, Rome, Mexico City and Morocco. At the same event the official synopsis was revealed.
“A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”
Appearing as far back as the first Bond movie Dr. No in 1962 (further back if you’re a fan of the novels), SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) is a fictional global terrorist organisation led by supervillian Ernst Stavro Blofield, though there has been no confirmation of his appearance in this movie.
Also starring Christoph Waltz, Madeleine Swann, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear, SPECTRE is due for release in cinemas on November 6, 2015.
