AMC Apologises for Walking Dead Spoiler

*The following article contains a spoiler for the latest episode of The Walking Dead. Continue at your own viewing peril.*

AMC have apologised for posting an image on Facebook that spoiled The Walking Dead‘s show’s mid-season finale.

The broadcaster put up an image on the show’s Facebook page on Sunday following the death of Beth before the episode aired on the West Coast, leading fans to take to social media to criticise.

AMC have now taken to Facebook to say sorry for their error;

“We heard your feedback to last night’s post, and we’re sorry.

With zero negative intent, we jumped the gun and put up a spoiler. Please know we’re going to work to ensure that, in the future, possible spoilers by official AMC social feeds are killed before they can infect, certainly before the West Coast (U.S.) broadcast of The Walking Dead.”

As always, thank you for watching, and keep the comments coming. We appreciate all of your support. #RIPSpoiler”

Season 5 of The Walking Dead will continue in February.

  1. There is a dire need in the international world we leave in for official social media pages to be either regionally split to avoid timezone issues like this or for admins to actually be fully aware that they are communicating with the worldwide community and different TV schedules in different countries need to be taken into consideration. Bad form AMC, bad form. The best thing they could do, especially for the UK viewers is to broadcast it within hours of the US, this would help solve the problem, but forced social media embargo’s wouldn’t hurt.
