Daniel Bryan Makes Announcement on his Future

Daniel Bryan has revealed his major announcement on Raw.

During an emotional and memorable segment, the former WWE champion spoke about his ups and downs over the last year, including getting married and then losing his father. After teasing retirement, Bryan then confirmed that he would not be retiring and would in fact be in the Royal Rumble match on January 25.

Bryan’s announcement now throws up the question of whether WWE will continue with their reported plan for Roman Reigns to win the Rumble and go on to defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at next year’s WrestleMania. Given the infamous crowd reaction to Bryan (and eventual winner Batista) at last year’s Rumble, it will be interesting to see if WWE changes course and books the feelgood story of Bryan once again overcoming the odds and earning a shot against Lesnar.
