Vince McMahon has issued an apology for the last-minute delay of the WWE Network in the UK.
The service was due to launch at 20:00 this past Monday, but was pulled 20 minutes before going live. WWE offered no comment other than to say that the delay was “until further notice”.
Speculation has been rampant that Sky – who agreed a new exclusive programming deal with WWE earlier this year – were behind the delay, but that has been denied by the broadcaster.
And now WWE chairman McMahon has appeared in a short video on the company website, apologising for the delay but offering no reason or timeframe on when the Network will arrive.
