Sting will reportedly make his WWE on-screen debut tomorrow night at Survivor Series.
PWInsider have claimed that the WCW icon is scheduled for the show, however they do add that he is not booked for the following week’s TV tapings.
Sting is one of very few wrestlers who, until now, had never worked for WWE. He has had meetings with the company in the past, but nothing ever materialised. But it looked like that would change when Sting left TNA and inked a deal to appear in 2K Games’ WWE 2K15. This was followed by the introduction of WWE-branded Sting merchandise, with the wrestler also appearing at WWE-related events and interviews. This inevitably led to speculation that the superstar would eventually find his way to WWE as an in-ring talent, in particular as an opponent for Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 next year.
Sting’s appearance tomorrow night is likely as part of promotion for the videogame, which has just been released in the US, however the company could decide to use his appearance to plant seeds for a future angle.
WWE or Sting have yet to comment on the report.
