Way back when in 2012 during the IFA consumer electronics unlimited show in Berlin, Asus showed a huge presence with their ZenWatch – the company’s first crack at the Smart Watch market.
Well over the following two years Asus haven’t really done a great job at keeping their upcoming device underwraps, what they’ve not done however is inform us of just when we can expect the ZenWatch to hit the store shelves.
According the a new page popping up on the Asus website, the ZenWatch may actually be officially launching during an event the company is holding on the 28th October. Also judging by the same page and it’s teaser pictures, we may also be seeing the ZenPhone‘s 5 or 6 making an appearance too.
ZenWatch looks to have some serious potential as it runs on a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage. The display is a curved rectangular AMOLED one, measuring 0.63-inch diagonally with a 320 x 320 pixel resolution. It also runs on Asus’ ZenUI (running on to of Google’s Android Wear OS) and comes with some nifty features like; find my phone. smart gestures, remote camera control and the ability to switch between 100 different watch faces.
