Two of the PlayStation Network’s biggest stars are making their way from the PlayStation 3 to its bigger Brother PlayStation 4.
The multi award winning Journey was announced through a small video (above) that showed off clips of the game that had been spliced with various praises from critics. Tricky Pixels have taken the reasonability in porting the title from creators thatgamecompany, who will working to bring the game across in full 1080p. Cross-Buy is enabled, so if you buy Journey on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 you’ll be able play it on both consoles.
no details on the release date for Journey on the PlayStation 4, other than it’s out some point this year.
Giant Sparrow’s The Unfinished Swan has also been named as heading to the PlayStation 4 sometime this year and is actually playable on the gamescom show floor. Armature Studio has taken over development of the game for PS4 with all original art files intact, but regenerated at higher resolution.
We expect to hear more on both games during Sony’s gamescom presentation which kicks off in about 30 minutes.
