Kenta has officially signed with WWE.
The Japanese superstar has inked a deal with WWE, and will relocate to Florida and report to NXT. His signing was announced during a live event in Osaka, Japan during an in-ring segment with Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart.
Prior to signing with WWE, Kenta – who normally utilises the Go 2 Sleep as his finisher – won the GHC Heavyweight Championship and GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship with Pro Wrestling Noah.
WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Creative and Live Events Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque commented on the signing in a WWE.com article;
“Kenta is an incredible performer who brings the crowd to its feet when he steps into the ring. WWE’s signing of Kenta reflects our continued dedication to creating a diverse roster that appeals to our global fan base.”
The article says Kenta will train at WWE’s state-of-the-art Performance Center to “enhance his talents both athletically and creatively”.
