E3 2014: Shape Up

Ubisoft with Microsoft have announced out a fitness programme for the Xbox One.  By mixing traditional fitness moves with the kind of games we love such as rhythm games like dance dance revolution or guitar hero to adventure/action games like tomb raider.

In a demonstration during the Ubisoft E3 presentation, we were shown two different types of challenging games. First was a type of aerobics crossed with Guitar Hero (without guitars), where a player has to stand on a keyboard like – the movie Big and then proceed to move their feet in time with the song Eye of the Tiger. The second demo was for a pushups challenge, where two players were pitted against each other and measured on their total pushup count.

With achievements and leader boards, this might be one fitness game I may actually try.  Shape Up will be calling you a maggot in November 2014.
