Generation Rewind is back with another look at some of highs and lows of the past decade of gaming.
In episode 4 we go back in time again. Another trip to 2011, the year of revolution, in Egypt riots removed a dictator, in London riots removed most of the stock from Comet.
Established in 2002 with a PS2 release simply titled Ratchet and Clank, the franchise has seen 14 games releases, which includes sequels, spin-off and mobile games. Over the years the games have received consistently high ratings from critics and gamers alike and despite being a Sony exclusive have seen good sales figures throughout.
Ratchet and Clank have retired from the superhero life following Captain Quark’s presidential election win. Just as our heroes are settling in to a more relaxed life, old rival Dr Nefarious decides to attack, prompting the heroes back into action. As our heroes stop Nefarious’ attack they, along with Nefarious himself and Quark are kidnapped by a drone of unknown origin.
With no hope of rescue the rivals must work together to solve the mystery and yet again save the universe.
Compelling stuff indeed.
