First trailer for Constantine TV series released

Last week, Batman prequel Gotham released it’s first trailer, this week another DC property gets the same treatment, Constantine.

Many will know Constantine best from the 2005 Keanu Reeves movie but the character is actually depicted in the comics as blonde and British. Fans of the comic will be very pleased to know that the TV series goes back to the source material and follows it well as the trailer shows us.

The story follows Constantine as he seeks out the daughter of an old friend who has becomes the target of some nasty Demons. The reason for their sudden interest in her comes from her recently developed second sight which allows her to see the “other side”.

The show stars Matt Ryan as our less than friendly exorcist and fans of the comics will hopefully be pleased with his depiction as the characters gruff, sometimes inappropriate humour is brought to the screen.

Constantine is set to debut later this year in the US on NBC, no word yet on which network is getting the rights in the UK but when we know, you’ll know. For now though, enjoy the trailer.
