A Justice League of America film has been announced by Warner Bros.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Warner’s president of worldwide production Greg Silverman confirmed the superhero team-up is coming, following up from 2016’s Batman Vs Superman.
“It will be a further expansion of this universe. Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League.”
Zack Snyder will return as director, with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot all reprising their respective roles as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
The Hollywood Reporter are claiming that the film will be shot back-to-back with BvS and will release in 2017, a year after the Man of Steel sequel is due to hit.
Additionally, hopes are growing at Warner for Wonder Woman to get her own spinoff movie, with president of worldwide marketing Sue Kroll confirming the “right script” is being waited for.
“That is our hope. With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”
