The Ultimate Warrior Passes Away

I am deeply saddened to have to write that The Ultimate Warrior has passed away.

The tragic news was confirmed by WWE, and PWInsider has reported that Warrior was outside of a hotel in Arizona with his wife when he collapsed. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was 54.

Just this past weekend Warrior was finally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and also appeared on Monday’s episode of Raw. He had been ‘exiled’ from WWE for years, and had now finally made peace with Vince McMahon and others. During his Hall of Fame speech Warrior spoke about his wife Dana and his two daughters.

Words cannot express how sad this news is, and that Hall of Fame speech is ringing around in my head as I type this. All of us here offer our full condolences to the family and friends of Warrior.

  1. This is seriously shocking news and I’ve had to revisit a couple of his big matches since. I remember when he beat Hogan which was massive at the time. Being a huge Hogan fan at the time and my brother being a big warrior fan it was unbelievable but the guy was a huge legend and deserved the legend status. Massive respect to him and huge condolences to his loved ones. A true legend and he really was the ultimate warrior (just watch the fight with Andre the giant. Still an incredible match and over in seconds.)
