Guardians of the Galaxy debuts full trailer

The first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy has debuted.

The clip aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live and gives us our first proper look at Marvel’s newest superhero group.

The film introduces us to Peter Quill  – or as he would like us to call him, Star Lord – taken from Earth when he was nine and ens up the target of a manhunt when he captures a mysterious orb coveted by the movie’s lead villain Ronan. Along the way he joins forces with a group of outlaws including Gamora, Drax, a gun-toting raccoon named Rocket and a giant tree-man called Groot.

Different, to say the least.

However Marvel, feeling like the mainstream world is ready for another other-world concept, has gone all-out with this and it looks like it is going to be fun.

Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn, and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. It also features Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou,  John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Nova Prime Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector.

It releases in cinemas on August 1 2014.

  1. There was a lot more humor in this than I was expecting, the brief action shots alone are enough to entice me even more!

  2. Yep, more of this please.
I GotG is as awesome as it looks then I’ll take this over and JJ Abrams sci-fi movie.
