Guide: Assassin’s Creed IV – Legendary Ships takedown

Assassin’s Creed IV has been one of the big highlights of 2013 having been a commercial success on both current generation consoles and the older systems. With the Freedom Cry DLC released in December and more DLC’s planned for this year it’s safe to say that this game will be around for some time yet.

For those budding trophy and achievement hunters out there this game offers a few challenges. One of these is the “Devil of the Caribbean” trophy which sets the player the task of taking on the four Legendary ships, found in each corner of the single player map.

These ships are built for battle and can be something of challenge to overcome, with each having there own strength in a certain area. This includes super-strength mortars and the battering ram that will put the Jackdaw down in no time.

With this in mind The Unhinged Gamer has put together a video guide to help you with this task and hopefully set you on a path to Creed greatness.

Before attempting to take on the Legendary ships we do recommend completing the main story and fully upgrading the Jackdaw as the hull and weapon improvements will be very useful.
