Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has been one of the highlights of 2013 on both last gen consoles and the newly released generation. With a lot of the kinks worked out from the bold attempt Ubisoft made to redefine the franchise in Assassin’s Creed 3 and a bigger and more engaging story the series has never looked stronger.
December 17th saw the release of Freedom Cry, a new DLC which extends and expands on the Black Flag story to give players a fresh narrative, a new assassin and new challenges to overcome.
Set 15 years after the events of Black Flag, the story follows Edwards second-in-command Adewale, now a fully trained assassin, having been shipwrecked in a fishing village in the Caribbean. Left with no weapons or crew he must make new allies and face new enemies in order to get the resources he needs to return to the sea.
