Titanfall Gets a Release Date

Electronic Arts and Respawn have announced that Titanfall will release in March 2014.

The first person shooter is much anticipated, and after seeing the consistently long queues first-hand at the Eurogamer Expo last month, there will be a lot of people counting down the days and putting their pre-orders in for this one. Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella is quoted in a press release talking about the feedback they have received so far for the game;

“Since we revealed the game in June we’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall. The feedback we’re getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype.”

It was also announced that there will be a special collector’s edition of the game available, with those willing to part with £249.99 getting an exclusive collectible 18” hand-crafted Atlas titan statue, with diorama and battery-powered LED lighting, as well as a full-size art book featuring more than 190 pages of rare concept art, and an exclusive full-size schematic poster of the Atlas titan.

Additionally, anyone who pre-orders either the standard or collector’s edition of the game will get a limited edition poster (at participating retailers).

Titanfall will be released in North America on March 11 and Europe three days later, available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
