Arrested Development will Return ‘sooner rather than later’, says Star

Will Arnett has claimed that plans for further Arrested Development episodes are ongoing. Arnett, who plays Gob in the series, told Digital Spy that everyone involved is keen to do another series:

“I know that there’s been a lot of talk. The truth is that we are actually just trying to figure out exactly how we’re going to do it. There is a plan to do something – I don’t want to say exactly what it’s going to be yet, but we are actively talking about how it’s going to come together in its next form.

“Needless to say, we are going to continue on in telling the story of the Bluths and it will be sooner rather than later.”

Arnett also addressed the lukewarm reaction to the show’s fourth season.

“We had such a great experience making season four and we’re all so proud of it. I know that there was some reaction that was lukewarm and there were a lot of people who criticised it for not being the old show… but that was the point – it wasn’t supposed to be the old show,

“It was supposed to be this new thing, and in time… I think people will realise that it’s pretty amazing what [showrunner] Mitch [Hurwitz] did.”

If you’ve not seen Arrested Development before then we highly recommend checking it out on Netflix, where you can watch every single episode, including it’s latest season.
